A love story that became more.
What do you do when you realise, in a sudden fleeting moment, that 'the one' is already your best friend?
Tristan and Sophie, being besties, spent a lot of time together. It was great going out, not having to find a date at the last minute, and not going alone either, and they genuinely liked being in each other's company.
Then one night, it all changed.
They were out in a local nightclub with a group of friends. After the first round, Tristan went to get more drinks. He was the designated driver, so was sticking to soft drinks, but most of the others were trying cocktails.
While he was at the bar, Sophie had got up to dance with someone, and it was a slow dance. As Tristan wove his way through a throng of people to their table, balancing three drinks complete with little umbrellas in them, he noticed Sophie and the other guy dancing close.
And that's when it hit him.
He wanted to be the one dancing closely with her. He felt breathless, realising that he loved her. And not just as a friend.
After the dance, Tristan asked her if they could talk outside. His nerves almost got the better of him, but he knew he had to be honest. When he said he loved her and hoped they could be more than just friends, Sophie kissed and hugged him, both of them laughing with joy and excitement. It turns out she'd been feeling the same way too for a while, but hadn't known how to tell him without ruining their friendship.
They went on their first 'proper date', just the two of them, a few days later, and have been together as a couple ever since. And they're still best friends too.
Jewellery that says ‘you’re special’
A few months later, Tristan was searching for some jewellery to give her for her birthday. He wanted it to be unique, sophisticated and understated, to reflect Sophie's individuality, not just something from the high street.
Sophie was also very aware of environmental issues, and the more Tristan looked into the truth about diamond mining, with its environmental destruction and conflicts, the more he realised that Sophie (and probably many others) would prefer to wear jewellery aligned with their ethics, which was exquisite, elegant and distinctive, but didn't cost a fortune.
And so Elle Adore was born.
Fast forward to today, and Elle Adore is a growing family business, constantly seeking out quality over quantity, without the high price tag. We think our many happy customers and positive customer testimonials speak volumes.
Tristan says, "With Elle Adore, we aim to offer indulgent luxury that cares. Our jewellery is crafted from high-quality, sustainable materials designed to last a lifetime. We use recycled envelopes and plastic-free packaging, reflecting our commitment to the planet. Plus, our lab-grown diamonds sparkle just as brilliantly as traditionally mined counterparts, but they're far more ethical and affordable."
